Beagle Create are a rapidly expanding Events Production Company Based in Bedfordshire. We’re passionate about delivering exceptional events that represent our clients’ vision, values and identity. Our personal approach to production results in leading corporate celebrations, conferences, training events, award ceremonies, product launches and more. As part of our expansion, we’re looking for a Warehouse based prep technician.

This role will be predominantly based at our warehouse in Biggleswade although there will be some opportunities for supporting work on site.

We have a busy warehouse and so require you to be highly motivated, proactive and able to work well in a high-pressured environment.

As a warehouse prep technician, you will be expected to manage the organisation of equipment and ensure all job preparations are accurate and ready to go on a daily basis. You will need to maintain accurate records and have a close eye for detail, identifying potential problems or missing equipment.

Upon job return, you will need to check equipment thoroughly to ensure equipment is complete, tested and then stored in the correct home, keeping the warehouse organised and tidy.

We are a small but constantly growing company so you will need to be willing to support all aspects of the company workload. Between events, you will carry out repairs and maintenance of the company’s stock holding and will carry out PAT testing for all electrical equipment.

The job will require manual handling with heavy lifting as well as the potential for client facing activities, so you must reflect our high standards and hard-working ethos throughout.

Live events can mean long hours, with early starts, late evenings and work at the weekends so a positive, good humoured attitude is essential alongside a passion for and dedication to the industry.

Key duties will include:

Preserving a tidy, safe and efficient working environment at all times

  • Ensure that all equipment is tested & checked upon return.
  • To assist in the continuous development of Warehouse facilities, including storage areas, equipment stocks and related services
  • Using Current RMS rental software – checking equipment both in and out of the warehouse with a barcode system
  • Drive company vehicles delivering and collecting equipment to and from events.
  • Liaise with Event & Production Managers regarding all aspects of each job ensuring the accuracy of all preparation and dispatch requirements.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Valid driver’s license held for 8 years
  • You have a passion for all things technical, within the live events/theatre industry
  • Previous experience driving vans (or similar)
  • Organisational, multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
  • Understands the flexible nature of the events industry and who is used to working unsociable hours.
  • IT Skills essential – Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Salary – Flexible dependant on experience.
