Each year, our client goes big to celebrate their success and 2025 was no exception. Rather than hosting a traditional Christmas party, this offshore financial investment company brings its entire global team back to the UK for a dedicated end-of-year awards ceremony. The event is designed to recognise performance, celebrate achievements, and reflect on the year’s results.
From the outset, this was about creating a statement event, one that matched the scale of the business and the success being celebrated.
Our involvement began well before production design. With the client based overseas, we supported them with full venue sourcing, shortlisting three suitable venues and preparing detailed proposals for each. We worked closely with venue teams to assess capacity, technical feasibility, guest experience, and overall fit for the brief.
As part of this process, members of the Beagle team attended menu tastings on the client’s behalf, sampling food and feeding back recommendations. This was not only useful for a client working overseas but was also great fun for us too! The final choice was The Peninsula London, a stunning property and a standout venue for an event of this calibre.
The Peninsula proved to be a fantastic partner throughout. Rather than working in silos as “venue” and “production company,” we adopted a true one-team approach. Everyone pulled in the same direction, tackling challenges collaboratively as they arose. That level of synergy is invaluable on a project of this scale.
The event itself was centred around a large-scale stage build with a striking, high-gloss black finish. Achieving this level of finish is no small task and the end result looked exceptional.
The technical specification reflected the ambition of the event, including:
• Large high-resolution 2.6mm LED video wall
• Barco screen management system
• WATCHOUT media server
• Sony 4K cameras
• Robe moving lights
• BarnColour fibre transmission system
• NEXO STM line array audio system
• Avolites D9 lighting desk
• GreenGo comms system
• Acme Tornado lighting effects
Every element was carefully integrated to deliver a polished, high-impact production that supported both the company content and live entertainment.
One of the most memorable elements of the stage design was a “toaster platform” reveal – imagine a slice of toast popping out of a toaster but instead revealing the CEO as the main host of the evening. A high-pressure moment, and one that had to be executed flawlessly.
Before proposing the idea to the client, members of the Beagle team travelled to Hull to view the platform in person, take measurements, understand its mechanics, and ensure it could be safely and effectively integrated into the show. We wanted to be fully prepared, confident, and experienced before putting the concept forward. It was a bold creative moment, and a lot of fun to test, but most importantly, it worked perfectly on the night.
The scale of delivery was significant. Over three days, we operated with a team of around 100 people per day, covering build, show, overnight operation, and de-rig.
To manage this, we had our Senior Leadership Team on site, overseeing logistics, welfare, and operational flow. A dedicated producer managed all talent and entertainment, which we also sourced, booked, and contracted in-house, ensuring performers were supported from arrival to final performance. This structure allowed everything to run smoothly, even under the pressure of long hours and tight turnaround times.
From early design and planning, through immaculate warehouse prep, to an on-site team that put in the hours to deliver, this was a full-company effort. All directors were present on site, ensuring fast decision-making and hands-on leadership throughout.
The result was an incredible night, fantastic client feedback, and a show that truly celebrated the company’s achievements. Everything came together from the production, the people, the partnership with the venue, making it a fitting way to round off 2025.
A big job by any measure, but one we were proud to deliver!
