Event Technician

Beagle Create are an events production company – we produce the AV and Production behind some amazing corporate events.

We are in need of someone to work with our equipment, both in our warehouse and onsite, to help produce these events and keep everything ticking over as it should.

The very nature of events means you can expect peaks to your workload as we travel throughout a calendar year but it’s nothing impossible and in quieter times, we all get to take it easier. 2023 is shaping up to be a busy year, so you can expect to roll your sleeves up right away!

Key duties will include:

  • Onsite unloading and loading of vehicles
  • Setting up, operating and packing down of equipment for events
  • Looking after the client, exceeding their expectations and delivering a seamless event service
  • Preparing equipment and loading onto trucks for the events to BC Prep Standards
  • Unloading and de-prepping this equipment when it comes back from the event.
  • Following the software process to track these hires in and out of stock
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area
  • Inspect and PAT certify cable and equipment – training will be provided
  • Receiving deliveries and checking their contents and condition
  • Responsible keyholder – Unlocking and locking up of our offices
  • Deliveries and collections

Ideal credentials:

  • A good amount of common sense and able to think and make logical decisions when needed
  • If you’re able to work as an individual and take instructions from your seniors this would be a great trait.
  • The software we use to run our warehouse is called Current RMS – if you have experience of working with this or similar you would be in a fantastic position however training will be provided.
  • Work well under pressure – The show MUST go on! There is a go-live date for an event and we mandate all our team members to deliver for the event, at all cost!
  • Over 7 years of driving experience with a full clean driver’s license to comply with our insurance.
  • Interest in the industry or experience working directly in it, would hold great value for your application

Salary £25-35k depending on your attitude and experience

Pension – Yes

Holiday – 20 days plus bank holidays

Overtime – Compulsory when required for the needs of the business

Technical Project Manager

Beagle Create is a growing company.
Despite the pandemic, we managed to not only survive, but grow!
Now, the switch is back on for events, we have skyrocketed and are looking for a technical project manager who has a passion for event technology and delivering on a requirement, without compromise.

Typical of our size, we produce many straightforward events, a good amount of medium scale events and a handful of big projects.
Great or small – we treasure all of them and the person applying for this role can expect to roll their sleeves up and get involved at all levels.

Efficient delivery is at the core of this role.
Understanding the requirements, the available equipment and how to best design systems that teams of technicians can seamlessly deploy and use to deliver events for our clients. Technical delivery will fall at your feet and it’s important that you understand our mantra.

The very nature of events means you can expect peaks to your work-load as we travel throughout a calendar year and although not ‘seasonal’ as such, there are busy days, weeks, months just as there are quieter ones.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Working with account managers and producers to produce equipment specifications and systems to enable quick quoting and efficient kit lists.
  • Excel for our clients – our aim is to make ourselves indispensable
  • Understanding a client’s brief and exceed all expectations
  • Producing CAD plans for events
  • Overseeing the technical installation of event provisions, their implementation and safe removal
  • Production of relevant event H&S documentation
  • Ensuring technicians are briefed and well prepared for events
  • Upholding our standards, ensuring everyone and everything is well presented at all times.
  • Dealing with any issues and problem solving in advance and on events, communicating issues to the wider team as necessary.
  • Producing information documents and schematics and ensuring everyone has a clear brief.
  • Run routine checks with warehouse to ensure everything is prepared correctly for events.

Ideal candidate

  • Have an excellent technical understanding of event delivery and systems across all disciplines, both analog and digital with a component level understanding of AV equipment and systems.
  • Full clean manual driving license with at least 10 years driving experience
  • Have industry experience
  • Have experience working with CURRENT RMS software
  • Enjoy working…..as much as possible!

Event Producer

Beagle Create is a growing company.
Despite the pandemic, we managed to not only survive, but grow!
Now, the switch is back on for events, we have skyrocketed and are in need of a capable producer who has a sheer grit and drive to deliver for our clients.

Typical of our size, we produce many straightforward events, a good amount of medium scale events and a handful of big projects.
Great or small – we treasure all of them and the person applying for this role can expect to roll their sleeves up and get involved at all levels.

The show must go on!
Simply put, delivery is at the heart of this role. Effective delegation is important but ultimate delivery will fall at your feet and it’s important that you understand our mantra.

The role will range from overseeing a load-in to a cherished venue partner – making sure we hit onsite deadlines etc

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Working with the account manager to produce events on time and in budget
  • Excel for our clients – our aim is to make ourselves indispensable
  • Ensuring events are crewed adequately
  • Ensuring transport is secured
  • Sourcing ‘special project’ items for events
  • Understanding a client’s brief and exceed all expectations
  • Ensuring technicians are briefed and well prepared for events
  • Upholding our standards onsite, ensuring everything and everyone is well presented at all times.
  • Dealing with any issues and problem solving on events and communicating issues to the wider team as necessary.
  • Producing crew information packs and ensuring everyone has a clear brief.
  • Run routine checks with warehouse to ensure you have everything you need onsite

Basically, get a brief and budget, then smash it at all levels!

Ideal candidate

  • Have an excellent technical understanding of event delivery and systems, be able to hold your own in conversation with both client and crew about the nitty gritty of what we do.
  • Full clean manual driving license with at least 10 years driving experience
  • Have industry experience
  • Have experience working with CURRENT RMS software
  • Enjoy working…..as much as possible!
